Equipment Use Guidelines

These guidelines are part of every rental. They're short on purpose: follow them and the equipment keeps working, your guests have a good time, and your security deposit comes back.
Where to Place It
Set the cabinet up indoors, or outdoors under a tent or other full cover with a floor or dry, level ground underneath. Keep it away from rain, sprinklers, fog machines, and long stretches of direct sun. Place it on a flat, stable surface, not on grass, sand, or gravel.
If you're not sure whether a spot will work, just ask. We want your wedding to be amazing and our games to be easy for your guests to get to, so talk to us and we'll say yes to any reasonable request.
Power
Honeymoon Hustle needs a standard 110V outlet within about 10 feet of where it's placed. Use at most one grounded, heavy-gauge extension cord to reach it, don't daisy-chain multiple cords together, and don't run the cord through a walkway where guests could trip.
A battery-powered option is in the works. If your venue has no power nearby, ask us and we'll figure out a solution together.
Handling and Moving
The cabinet ships flat-pack and goes together in about 30 minutes. It's meant to be built right where it will stay for the event, so pick its spot before you set it up. That said, some movement afterward is completely reasonable: back off the leveling feet on the base and the cabinet moves easily, so you can nudge it into place or shift it a short distance without trouble. For a longer move, we recommend a hand truck. Please don't tip it, lean on it, sit on it, or climb on it.
Food, Drink, and Decor
Keep drinks, plates, and food off of and away from the cabinet, especially near the controls and screen. Please don't attach tape, decorations, or signage directly to it.
Kids and Supervision
Our games are built for every generation, from grandparents to the ring bearer. Just have an adult keep half an eye on things the way you would with any equipment at a party.
Please Don't Open or Modify It
Don't open the cabinet, unplug internal components, or attempt any repairs yourself. If something isn't working right, stop using it and reach out through our contact form right away.
Weather Plan
Outdoor weddings sometimes need a weather backup, and moving the cabinet when the forecast turns is fine. If it's set up outdoors and rain rolls in, move it under cover or inside as soon as you can, using a hand truck for any real distance. A cabinet that gets wet is treated as damage, so when in doubt, get it covered.
Damage and the Security Deposit
Our Terms of Service cover this in full, but in short: rented equipment stays in your care for the event, and a refundable security deposit covers loss or damage beyond normal use. Following these guidelines is the easiest way to get your full deposit back. If anything happens during your event, tell us as soon as possible through our contact form so we can help.
Hear Hear Guestbooks
Both Hear Hear Vintage and Hear Hear Modern are battery powered (Modern runs about 10 hours on a full charge), so no outlet is needed. Keep them dry and away from drinks, just like the arcade cabinets, and place them somewhere guests can reach comfortably.
